We are 4 students from Télécom Paris working on this website as our 1st year project, "Online Video Annotation Software". We were supervised by our teacher Panos Mavros throughout the semester.
Our project links temporal and spatial data by letting the user manually add trackers to a map, synchronized to a video. The goal is to be able to add markers to track the trajectory of a person or an object through a whole building. For that purpose, the website handles 3D plans, simple 2D plans or multiple 2D plans of a building. All markers data can then be exported in a csv format for later use.
Such a tool can be useful for social or psychological studies, in order to analyse people's behavior. It can then be used to design more accessible spaces for example.
Another field of use could be roboyic design, as it can help breaking down a robot's behavior.
The user reuploads all needed information at each use, so we're not keeping any data.
- choose a mode (2D or 3D) - upload your map and video - start playing the video and navigate the map to add markers - export your data
- You can choose a marker's type or even create your own type of marker to display specific information - Scales are adapted between 2D and 3D : you can add your markers with a 2D plan, export them, and display them within a 3D plan !
